Not really. It was really the abnormality of the two statements that struck me, and happened to make it into the same blog post. However it could be assumed that Kathleen on drugs (say, advil or the like) would be of the same normality as Sparky having a chew toy.

Are you implying that it would be just as normal for Kathleen to be on drugs as for your dog to have a chew toy?
